Domaines Schlumberger

Cuvée Christine Vendange Tardive Gewurztraminer 2015

42,35 €

Christine Schlumberger (1894-1971) managed the Domaines Schlumberger for almost 20 years with talent and determination. The Late Harvest wines (appellation mention since 1984) are wines harvested in over maturity several weeks after the harvest. Unlike some sweet wines, they keep a freshness and a natural acidity in a unique taste.

Domaines Schlumberger's Gewurztraminer Cuvée Christine comes exclusively from their Grand Cru Kessler.

Ideal as a meditation wine, we highly recommend it with blue-veined cheese, such as Fourme d'Ambert. SInon, at the end of a meal, with a white peach and Sichuan pepper soup, an exotic fruit gratin, raspberry coulis and rose sorbet or a ginger flavoured mango tatin... Serving temperature 12°C.

Vinification :  The grapes are harvested by hand on our hillsides and then transported in crates (to avoid damaging the berries) to our cellars to be slowly pressed. The wines are stabilised, filtered and bottled.
