Kintsugi Charentais - Plates and Platter

Imperfect and unique, these are the characteristics of this series of Kintsugi Charentais porcelain plates. These flat, dessert or presentation plates had a defect or a crack and were repaired according to an ancestral Japanese method which allows to give life to its broken dishes: the kintsugi. The different pieces are reunited and magnified thanks to a gold joint characteristic of this Japanese practice. A piece with asymmetrical lines mixing textures and shapes. A way to bring a singular and authentic note to the table. Flaws are no longer hidden but celebrated thanks to this gold-covered breach. A new way to rediscover objects.
