A powerful stone to be handled with care and respect, Obsidian is a stone of truth.
Soothing and pure, it allows one to see the good in everything. A stone of protection, it acts as a reflecting mirror, sending back negative energies, like a mirror reflects sunlight. Its iridescent hues, against the background of its dense black appearance, recall the magnificence of the being and the luminous power of the soul.
It helps to balance the mind, body and spirit. Anchoring and protective stone, it helps to clear the mind to see clearly around and within oneself. It helps to keep confidence in case of fear of the unknown. It invites to accomplishment.
It is the stone linked to the 1st chakra, the root chakra located under the perineum at the base of the spine.

Application to the reflex zones of the body (hollows of the wrists, base of the neck, temples, palms of the hands for a cranial scalp massage, base of the neck, hollows of the elbows, behind the knees, hollow of the chest, behind the ears, lower back).
